Happy New Year!
Hallo zurück und euch allen noch ein gutes, gesundes und erfolgreiches neues Jahr!
Nach anfänglichem Holpern hat das Jahr 2009 für mich doch noch einen ganz guten Start hingelegt. Das lag zum einen daran, dass ich nach der Inventur am 5. Januar den Rest der vergangenen Woche frei hatte. Selten habe ich mich so urlaubsreif gefühlt und natürlich haben die paar Tage nicht wirklich ausgereicht zur Erholung. Aber immerhin konnte ich mich ein bißchen ausruhen, endlich mal ausschlafen und (für meine Verhältnisse) ganz viel lesen und stricken. Insbesondere habe ich meinen eigenen travelling scarf fertiggestellt und dann auch gleich ausgeführt, am Geburtstagspullover für meinen Freund weitergenadelt (Felted Tweed, glatt rechts, Nadelstärke 3 *schwitz*) und ein bißchen an meiner "Salina" rumgestrickt. Nachreichen kann ich noch Bilder von den wenig aufregenden Weihnachtssocken für meine Kinder (beides Opal) und von meinem dritten Woodland Shawl, den die Mutter meines Freundes bekommen hat.
Der zweite Grund für den guten Start ins neue Jahr ist, dass ich am 3. Januar endlich die Zusage für eine Wohnung bekommen habe. Der Mietvertrag ist unterschrieben, und wenn jetzt alles so klappt, wie es soll, kann ich mit meinen Kindern Ende Februar umziehen. Das ist trotz der Bauchschmerzen, die mir die Vorstellung eines erneuten Umzugs bereitet, eine tolle Perspektive. Die Wohnung entspricht so ziemlich allen meinen Vorgaben und Wünschen, vor allem liegt sie zentral in der Stadt, so dass ich meine Kinder morgens nicht mehr zur Schule fahren muss und sie auch mal nachmittags, wenn ich noch bei der Arbeit bin, unter Leute kommen. Also eigentlich war es dadurch sogar ein Superduperstart :-).

After initial stumbling the year 2009 finally started quite well for me. First reason was, that after stocktaking on January 5, I had the rest of the week off. I've hardly been more in desperate need of a holiday and the few days were certainly not enough. But anyway I was able to relax a bit, sleep something off and read and knit a lot. So I finally got my travelling scarf ready and took it out for first walks, continued my boyfriend's birthday pullover (which actually was planned as a Christmas present, but, you know, needle size 3 mm just stockinette...) and my 'Salina'. Above you see pictures of the not really exciting Christmas socks for my children (both Opal yarn) and my third Wooldland Shawl which was a present for my boyfriend's mother.
The second reason for the good start into the new year was, that I finally got a rental contract for an appartment fo me and my children. If everything works out well, we will be able to relocate at the end of February, which is, despite of my worries caused by the imagination of moving once more, a wonderful prospect. The appartment is situated in the town center (a very small town), so I don't need to carry my children to school in the mornings any more and in the afternoons, while I'm still at work, they can meet their friends easily. Actually it was a super-duper start into 2009 for me.
